Loft Extension

This ongoing loft conversion project in Colchester is a great example of what thoughtful planning and quality materials can achieve. The work began with the safe erection of scaffolding to provide full access to the roof, followed by the careful removal of the existing roof structure. A brand new roof was then constructed to current building standards, forming the solid foundation for the rest of the conversion.

At the rear of the property, we installed a rear dormer measuring 6 metres wide by 8 metres in length — significantly increasing the usable floor space and headroom within the loft, and creating a bright, airy environment that feels like a natural part of the home rather than an add-on.

As with every project we undertake, material quality was a priority from the outset. The flat roof section of the dormer was finished using an EPDM rubber roofing membrane sourced from Rubber Roofing Direct — a premium product that carries an impressive 50 year warranty. It's the kind of material choice that reflects our wider commitment to doing things properly the first time, so our clients never have to worry about the work we've done.
